Letterkenny General Hospital Affected Floods Second Time

After torrential rain, the Letterkenny General Hospital was affected by flooding for a second time in two years. The car park and roadway to the Accident and Emergency Department flooded as a result of the rainwater that gushed from the main road. Our team were on hand to assist the emergency services as thousands of gallons of rainwater flowed into the hospital grounds.

 There was a low level of flooding inside the Emergency Department as a result of water leaking into the reception and administrative areas, however, the clinical areas were not affected by the flood water.
